This Privacy Policy describes how Workshop (“Workshop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website, attend our classes or events, or otherwise interact with us. Please read this policy carefully. By using our Site or services, you agree to the practices described here.

4.1 When We Share

4.3 Sales of Personal Data

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. However, the use of certain analytics or advertising technologies may constitute a “sale” under applicable state privacy laws. California residents may exercise opt-out rights as described in Section 12.

Our Site may include social media features and widgets, such as Facebook and Instagram buttons. These features may collect your IP address, record which pages you visit, and set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them. We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any social media platforms you use.

Some browsers have a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. Our Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We will continue to monitor developments in this area and update our practices if appropriate standards emerge.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you close your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information, unless we are required by law to retain it or it is necessary to protect our legitimate business interests. Certain information may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form.

Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at hello@workshopli.com. Our Site is intended for users located in the United States of America. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems or your information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any password used to access your account. Please notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Workshop is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. If you are accessing our Site from outside the United States, please be aware that information collected through our Site may be transferred to, processed, stored, and used in the United States. Data protection laws in the U.S. may differ from those of your country or region. By using our Site or providing us with any information, you consent to this transfer and processing.

12. Your California Privacy Rights

12.1 Shine the Light

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at the information in Section 14.

12.2 Deletion Rights

California residents have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. Upon receiving a verifiable consumer request, we will delete your personal information from our records and direct our service providers to do the same.

12.3 Access and Data Portability

California residents have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you. Upon verification of your identity, we will provide you with the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.

12.4 Personal Data Sales Rights

You have the right to direct us to not sell your personal information at any time (the “right to opt-out”). We do not sell personal information as that term is typically understood; however, if applicable, you may exercise this right by contacting us.

12.5 Non-Discrimination Rights

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your California privacy rights. Unless permitted by law, we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, provide a different level or quality of goods or services, or suggest that you may receive a different price or quality of goods or services as a result of exercising your rights.

To exercise your rights described in this Section, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us using the contact information in Section 14. Only you, or a person registered with the California Secretary of State that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days.

13. Modifications to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide more prominent notice (such as by email or by posting a notice on our Site). Your continued use of our Site after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
